Building Designation · Six Criteria · Verified Infrastructure

The AI Office Ready™
Certification

Not a checklist. A building designation earned through the deployment and operation of inBuilding's UDI3 — all six criteria must be met.

What It Means

A New Category of
Commercial Real Estate

AI Office Ready identifies buildings equipped to support AI workloads, high-performance computing, and next-generation infrastructure. Think of it like LEED for connectivity — a verified credential that signals to tenants, brokers, and investors that a building has moved into a new category.

How it compares:

LEED certifies sustainability standards.
WELL Building Standard certifies occupant health.
AI Office Ready certifies that a building can support AI workloads and deliver enterprise-grade connectivity to every tenant.
What It Requires

Six Infrastructure Criteria.
All Must Be Met.

Each criterion represents a capability standard commercial buildings do not possess. All six are deployed and operated by inBuilding.

1

Dark Fiber Backbone

OS2 single-mode · Data center to MDF

Minimum 100 Gb dark fiber upstream from a Tier 1 provider. Scalable to 400 Gb+ via transceiver swap — no re-cabling required.

2

Building-Wide Fiber Plant

Dedicated · Carrier-neutral · inBuilding-owned

Dedicated fiber runs to every tenant floor and suite. Structured for scalability. Owned and operated exclusively by inBuilding.

3

Hardware-Enforced Per-Tenant SLAs

H-QoS child policies · Line rate · In hardware

Each tenant's committed rate is enforced at the MPoE aggregation switch in hardware. One tenant cannot consume another's allocation under any circumstance.

4

Multi-Tier Bandwidth Availability

1 Gb · 10 Gb · 100 Gb — simultaneously

All bandwidth tiers are available to all tenants from a single dark fiber run. No separate carrier circuit required per tier.

5

AI/HPC Readiness

Lossless fabric · PFC · ECN · DCQCN

Lossless spine-leaf GPU fabric with PFC, ECN, and DCQCN enables zero-packet-loss RoCEv2 GPU-to-GPU communication for AI training and inference workloads.

6

Edge Compute Fabric

Distributed compute at the building level

A distributed switching fabric that brings ultra-low-latency, high-throughput compute infrastructure directly where engineers work — eliminating the performance penalty of remote co-location.

What It Delivers

Benefits for Every Stakeholder

GPU Clusters in Office Space
AI companies run multi-rack GPU deployments directly where their engineers work — no remote co-location required.
Dedicated High-Speed Connectivity
Every tenant gets a hardware-enforced committed rate — 1 Gb to 100 Gb — not shared, not throttled.
A Verified Infrastructure Credential
Tenants, brokers, and investors can rely on the designation — not a self-reported checklist.
Lossless Networking for AI
PFC, ECN, and DCQCN protocols enable zero-packet-loss RoCEv2 GPU communication for training workloads.
Dramatically Lower Cost
Structural economics — not promotions — deliver pricing roughly half that of any equivalent carrier circuit.
Scalable from 1 Gb to 100 Gb+
Tenants grow from 1 Gb to 100 Gb without new carrier installations or infrastructure changes.
